Human papillomavirus types 16 and 18 (high-risk types) are responsible for about 70% of all cervical cancer cases worldwide. This real-time PCR test kit is for qualitative detection of HPV types 16 and 18 in cervical specimens. It can be used alongside other cervical cancer screening or diagnostic methods, contributing to more accurate medical information and better treatment decisions. It can also be used during physical examinations to identify high-risk HPV infections.
